Digital SLR Classes
In today’s world, photography plays an important role in our everyday lives. In this workshop, you will get hands-on experience with digital SLR cameras through photographing local places and community events. Learn about photo composition and perspective, proper techniques for shooting in the digital medium with manual exposure settings, and post-production techniques. Bring your own digital camera or shoot on one provided for you.

Session I: April 30 – May 28 (5 Classes)
Time: 6:00 – 9:00 pm (1.5 hours shooting, 1.5 hours editing)
Location: Northampton High School Room G16 (basement)
(Participants will need to provide their own transportation to and from shooting sites)

Instructor: Jeromie W. is a freelance media production specialist and Technology Teacher at Northampton High School. Jeromie has over a decade of experience working with various formats in the digital medium and holds a M.Ed. in Learning, Media and Technology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is the recipient of the UMass Michael S. Roif award and Alliance for Community Media Hometown Award for documentary production, and executive producer of the New England Regional Emmy award-winning student news journal "The Transcript".
