Drinking Water Supply
Three active reservoirs, which are located in the towns of Hatfield, Williamsburg, and Whately, supply drinking water to the City of Northampton: the Mountain Street Reservoir, the West Whately Reservoir, and the Francis P. Ryan Reservoir. The watersheds surrounding all three reservoirs are mostly forested, rural areas, which provide high quality drinking water for the City of Northampton.
