- Air-source heat pumps heat and cool the James House Community Learning Center and the DPW Admin building
- Coursework on renewable energy technologies at Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School
- Hundreds of residents and businesses have signed up for renewable energy through the GreenUp program, earning the city over $140,000 to spend on clean energy projects
