2026 Program Details

Grab your bike and helmet and let's go riding! Teaming up with volunteers from the Northampton Cycling Club (NCC), we are excited to bring back our Junior Cyclocross and Mountain Biking program. Cyclocross combines the skills and action of mountain biking with the speed and power of road cycling. The sport is typically raced on a short loop consisting of grass, dirt, trails, pavement, sand, mud, barriers, obstacles, tree roots and hills. Each week, participants get to ride a real cyclocross course and mountain biking trails built specifically for this program. This fun and engaging program is great for those looking to have fun riding with friends and learn essential cyclocross and mountain biking skills! Participants will make new friends, stay active, and have fun learning new skills with their peers. Our volunteer instructors are longtime NCC coaches and racers who have worked with youth and participated in races for years. The program will be broken into groups based on age. Participants must bring a bike (in good working condition), a snug fitting helmet and a water bottle. Optional items include a snack, cycling shorts, sunglasses and cycling gloves. For: Youth in grades 2 - 8
Dates: Mondays, April 27 - June 1 (no class May 25 for Memorial Day) (rain dates June 8th)
Time: 5:30 - 6:45 PM
Location: Dow Pavilion, Look Park
Fee*: $60.00 ($70.00 non-residents)
*Please note there is also a vehicle entry fee to get into Look Park. See below for additional information.

Please note that there is a vehicle entry fee to get into Look Park. Options for entry into the park are:

• Participants and their families can walk/ride their bikes into the park at no cost.
• Parents can purchase a program pass at the Parks & Rec Office for $20.00**. This hanging pass can be used in different vehicles and is good for vehicle entry into the park during the program. It is not valid during any other times.
  **NCC is reimbursing the $20.00 Look Park Vehicle Entry Pass to residents who qualify. Email info@nohobikeclub.org for more information.
• Families can purchase a season pass with Look Park.
• Families can pay the daily vehicle entry fee at the gate each day.
